Satu H. Woodland, PMHCNS-BC, APRN
Satu H. Woodland, PMHCNS-BC, APRN, is the owner/clinician of Hope Mental Health and provides an oasis of mental health care in MBoise, Idaho. Ms. Woodland has for the last 20 years worked in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry helping people with various mental health disorders. She specializes in obsessive-compulsive disorder and in the mood disorders including depression and bipolar spectrum illnesses. She also treats anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, and various personality disorders.
Some of her most rewarding work is with Autistic and high functioning Aspergers and other intellectual and developmental conditions. Ms. Woodland enjoys working with people of different cultures, all sexual and gender orientations, and respects and honors religious, secular and spiritual practices. Her graduate work was at the University of California San Francisco with a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist focus and a Minor in Cross Cultural Health Care. She believes all people deserve to be heard and receive compassionate non-judgmental treatment.
Ms. Woodland has more than 30 years experience working in medical clinics, OBGYN, pediatrics, elder care, and community health in addition to psychiatry. She prefers a holistic and integrative approach to mental health care that addresses the mind body and spirit together.
