Mary Curtis is a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist who has worked in the community and at the Boise VA Medical Center for over 20 years. She completed her education at Boise State University and Idaho State University and focuses on psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief psychotherapy. She has a strong interest in nutrition and physical health and activity to complement her clients’ behavioral health treatment plans. Mary has worked with clients with PTSD and co-occurring chemical dependency concerns as well as those with depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. She believes that the client does best when they are the most important part of the behavioral health team. Mary enjoys getting to know her clients and their family.
Mary has had many and varied experiences in life, coming to the behavioral health field at a more mature age. She has two sons and 5 grandchildren. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling to distant lands or heading to the hills in her RV or finding the twistiest roads on her Harley. She is owned by two cats and a borrowed dog.
