About Brittany Zoto

I am Brittany Zoto and I am currently in my last 6 months as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) student at Herzing University. I have been an RN for 17 years. ost of my experience is in the emergency room, but my most recent experience is with home hospice. I found that serving people and their loved ones at end of life was incredibly humbling and rewarding. It was my service to people receiving hospice that inspired me to further my education and skills to become a mental health provider.

I am a US Navy Veteran. I joined right after high school and served 5 years as a Hospital Corpsman. I met my husband shortly after bootcamp (he is a retired Navy Veteran) and we have been married for 23 years. We have one daughter, two furbabies, and a bird. Something you might be surprised to learn about me is that I ride a Harley! It is a heritage classic and it is the most beautiful teal color you've ever seen.

My goal is to provide people with compassionate, evidence-based care. I firmly believe in caring for the whole person and promise to remain genuine, non-judgmental, and engaged in your care. I want to empower you and support you on your journey to healing. I consider my approach to be non-paternalistic. I may be an "expert" in mental health, but you are the expert of you. My aim is to help you gain awareness of what is happening in your life and work with you to to navigate your recovery or discovery of mental health. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story!
