Cody Haas



Cody Haas, PMHNP-BC, APRN, joins Hope Mental Health with prior experience working in emergency medicine, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, residential behavioral health treatment, and geriatric psychiatry. He treats patients of all ages, including adults and elderly, but developed a passion for working with children and adolescents while working on inpatient and residential units at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mr. Haas is also the psychiatric provider at Sequel Youth Services, a residential treatment facility for adolescent boys in Mountain Home, Idaho.

Mr. Haas completed his graduate training at Vanderbilt University, the second top-rated PMHNP training program in the country by USA today. In addition to pharmacologic treatments, he is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, one of the most research-supported interventions for PTSD. He also enjoys using mindfulness techniques and genetic testing to help his patients reach their treatment goals.

Being trained as a PMHNP-BC, Mr. Haas is licensed to treat across the lifespan; from birth to end of life. This includes treatment of those suffering from depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, bipolar illness, various personality disorders, autism and other developmental/intellectual disabilities, Conduct disorders (i.e. oppositional defiant disorder), eating and feeding disorders, enuresis/encopresis, sleep-wake disorders (i.e. insomnia) and many more.  Mr. Haas also enjoys speaking and presenting on mental health topics to groups. He has taken a particular interest in suicide prevention with children and adolescents in Idaho. Please contact our office if you would like him to present to your group!

Mr. Haas has an upbeat personality and enjoys laughing with and getting to know his patients. Outside of work he enjoys sports, being outdoors, and practicing his German! Coming from Washington State, we are excited to welcome him to the team at Hope Mental Health.
